My name is Andy Cook and I am licensed as a family law specialist by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization.
In California, a family law specialist is someone who is designated as a specialist by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization and what all of that means is that I’ve passed the bar exam just like any other licensed California attorney, but in addition I have also passed the exam that is given every two years to determine who can call themselves a specialist under California law in a particular area and, in this case, family law.
I became a certified family law specialist in 2002 so I’ve been a specialist for over 12 years now and even unlike some other specialists all I do is family law and I think that makes me unique.
