Top family lawyer award by the L.A. Daily Journal goes to a San Diego Lawyer for the second year in a row.
San Diego Divorce Lawyer Andy Cook is a back-to-back winner of the Los Angeles Daily Journal award. This is the second straight year that the Daily Journal has published such a list and the second year in a row that Cook has received the honor. A two-page article about Cook begins on p. 6 of a special supplement about Cook and the other “Top Family Lawyers” in the March 15, 2023 edition of the newspaper. 22 lawyers were named to this year’s list.
Cook has also been honored for three straight years as a “Super Lawyer” by Thompson Reuters. He has also been rated AV preeminent by Martindale Hubbell. For over 20 years, he has been designated as a Family Law Specialist by the State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization. He is also a prior member of the Board of Directors of the San Diego County Bar Association (“SDCBA”).
Cook is a member of the California Lawyers Association, The California Association of Certified Family Law Specialists, and the San Diego Family Law Bar Association. Active in his community, Cook is also a member of Rotary International’s San Diego Downtown Breakfast chapter.
Cook’s practice, which he started on May 8, 1995, is assisted by associate attorney Kevin A. Alexander II, as well as paralegal Charlene Baaske. The practice, which is located in Bankers Hill, handles family law matters only. Cook has been licensed as a California attorney for nearly 29 years without interruption.
He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Vermont and his law degree from California Western School of Law.
